Starfish room

For children aged from 2 to 3 years

This is a medium sized room which caters for 12 children and covers all areas of children’s learning and development. We have a cosy area where we promote our book of the week. Children also group together here to play music and sing. In our construction area we have a range of resources and smallworld. This promotes children’s imagination and creation. Children are always keen to show others what they have made. We have an area dedicated to special designed teaching trays which are put together to support individual children’s interests helping them to focus on possible next steps. In the role play children have the opportunity to dress up and act out different every day situations. There is also a craft area with a range of mark making materials available. The room opens directly to an outdoor space and children access freeflow play where they can access a large playground with variety of resources, a sandpit, mud kitchen and water play area.
