The nursery is a full day care setting offering a variety of sessions to suit the needs of our families.
The nursery is based on the ground floor of a purpose built Children Centre. The first floor is occupied by the Early Childhood family Support Service with whom the nursery work with closely in order to provide holistic support for our families when needed. The nursery is situated in an area close to a local school, however the nursery does currently feed into 6 local schools. We are a diverse nursery and have a number of children with special educational needs, physical disabilities, English as an additional language and families receiving support from children's services as well as providing funded or paid spaces.
The nursery has four playrooms for three age groups between the ages of three months to five years and a large outdoor area made up of concrete and grass which is all secured with fencing. These areas are accessible through double doors in each of the rooms which easily enables free flow play from indoors to outdoors safely. The playground has slopes from the doors for wheel chair access, a ramp onto a decked area and a slabbed pathway leading to a vegetable patch with a raised bed, a bed at ground level as well as a water play area and mud kitchen.
The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year 8am until 5pm and offers flexible grant funding for two, three and four year olds. The 0-2 room caters for 9 babies, the two 2-3 rooms cater for 12 toddlers in each room and 3-5 room caters for 24 children in any one session.
